By creating an account or using PedalSteelPro (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
You retain full ownership of all content you create on PedalSteelPro, including copedent configurations, profile sections, photos, audio recordings, tab annotations, and text (“User Content”). By using the Service, you grant PedalSteelPro a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, and distribute your User Content as necessary to operate the Service, including displaying content you make public to other users.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights necessary to upload and share it. This matters especially for audio: only upload recordings you made and have the right to share.
When you make a copedent configuration public via the Community Library, other users may view it and copy it to their own account. By making a configuration public, you grant each user who copies it a perpetual license to use, modify, and re-share their copy within the Service, with attribution to you as the original creator. You retain full ownership of your original and may make it private at any time.
Copies made before you make a configuration private remain in those users' accounts as independent configurations with attribution — similar to how open-source forking works; forking does not transfer ownership. The same model applies to tab annotations, which other users may fork with attribution.
Where audio features are enabled, audio recordings you attach to a public copedent may be displayed and played on other copedents with a matching configuration, always credited to you. Deleting a recording removes it everywhere it appears.
You agree not to:
Users can report content that violates these terms. We may review, unpublish, or remove any User Content, and may suspend accounts, where we reasonably believe these terms have been violated. Moderation actions are logged for accountability.
We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@pedalsteelpro.com identifying the work, the infringing material and its location, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and remove infringing material promptly. Repeat infringers' accounts may be terminated.
Some features may be limited by account tier or unlockable with credits. Credits are promotional, have no cash value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, and may be granted, adjusted, or expired at our discretion. During the beta period all features are available free of charge; if paid plans are offered in the future, their pricing and terms will be presented at the time of purchase.
PedalSteelPro and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by PedalSteelPro and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The PedalSteelPro name, logo, and branding may not be used without prior written consent.
PedalSteelPro is currently in beta and is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Features may change, and data loss is possible during the beta period.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PedalSteelPro shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your content at any time in Settings → My Data, and may request deletion of your account by contacting support. Upon deletion, your User Content is permanently removed, except that copies of copedents or annotations other users made while your content was public remain in their accounts (Section 4), and limited billing and moderation records are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Indiana.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at support@pedalsteelpro.com.
